A Laboratory of Artistic Collaboration

transformative arts market

The TAM Fellowship is grounded in the core tools of our signature Transformative Grant Writing Program which to date has supported 235 artists from multiple disciplines and raised a combined $2.3 million in Grants for our alumni's projects.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Transformative Arts Market (TAM) is a 6-week fellowship, designed to equip artists and creative entrepreneurs with the tools to professionally promote and sell their work at Arts Markets and other public venues. We believe in taking bold steps toward building sustainable infrastructure that supports artists not just as creators, but as entrepreneurs and cultural workers.

TAM is about more than selling art, it’s about developing sustainable systems, developing talent and business, and injecting direct funds into our local creative ecosystem.

TAM 2025

This program is open to artists at different stages of their business.
Through the training sessions and the tools provided by the program, participants will refine their visual identity and promotional materials according to the specific needs of their product, as well as develop those materials during the process.
This training will culminate in your participation in our first-ever Transformative Art Market, to be hosted on October 25 and 26, at the Presidio Tunnel Tops.
The Transformative Arts Market program by Arts.Co.Lab is designed to support artists in developing promotional and outreach materials tailored to the specific needs of their product or project. By the end of the program, during the Market weekend, participants will be equipped to deliver a clear, impactful pitch that effectively communicates their work. To this end, the program includes a stipend.

STIPENDS

In addition to being tuition-free, our program offers a modest stipend per vending booth for promotional materials. These materials will be produced with our trusted provider.

The full program, including the cost of vending spaces and artist stipends covered by the San Francisco Arts Commission and the Mellon Foundation in support of creative entrepreneurs ready to activate the local creative economy.

Arts.Co.Lab is a BIPOC led and centered space and everyone who can commit to the required commitments is encouraged to apply.
